Illustration and Comics from Around the World

The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On the day of the opening, September 21th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The tenth edition of LUSTR will bring together ten illustration and comics festivals from around the world. Illustrators, comics creators, and curators from Hong Kong, Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, Germany, Taiwan, France, Greece, and Hungary will converge in Prague to collectively create a Metafestival – a festival of festivals that have survived the times of COVID.

As part of the national lounge, this year’s presentation will unusually focus on Czech creators who have shone the brightest at LUSTR over the past decade. The exhibition will also feature the work of the illustration duo Tomski&Polanski, celebrating their tenth anniversary, and the Prague premiere of the exhibition ‘Kdo vypráví komu o čem’ (Who tells whom about what), which earned acclaim in London by David Böhm and Jiří Franta.

In addition, the festival, as it does every year, is preparing an exhibition section showcasing young talent, presenting undiscovered talents in the field of illustration and comics.

This year, the LUSTR festival will celebrate its tenth anniversary, and so this year’s edition will be marked by a festive spirit. At the same time, the organizers are preparing several changes. The first and most significant change will be the relocation of the festival to the premises of Holešovická tržnice, where the festival will occupy spaces in several halls. However, as always, the planned program will cater to everyone interested in illustration and comics, including professionals (creators or publishers), students, and the general public, including families with children.

The festival will kick off on September 21st from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
On the following days, the exhibitions will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

New address: Holešovická tržnice, Bubenské nábř. 306, 170 00 Praha 7-Holešovice (HALL 17, HALL 29, HALL 40)
